About Century Guild
1999. Century Guild begins as a gallery in Chicago specializing in artworks and object 1880-1930; Art Nouveau, Symbolism, and cabaret and opera artifacts are featured alongside works on paper by names including Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and Alphonse Mucha.
2001. Century Guild begins representing and exhibiting contemporary artists including Gail Potocki, Dave McKean, Chris Mars, Jeremy Bastian, and more.
2004. Century Guild adds a unique event to their calendar of International Antique and Art fairs with their presentation at San Diego Comic Con. This monumental event will become the focal point for the gallery until their final appearance in the Summer of 2015.
2006. Century Guild begins publishing catalogs of rare Silent Cinema artworks, the Theatre du Grand-Guignol, and rare Drive-In Movie Posters of the early to mid 20th century, and fine art books including definitive monographs on Gail Potocki, David Mack, Michael Hussar, Steve Diet Goedde, and Clive Barker.
2012. Century Guild moves Los Angeles and opens a gallery in the heart of the Culver City Arts District.
2016. Century Guild celebrates their seventeenth year with the opening of a dedicated Museum space dedicated to exploring the origins of Popular Culture- The Century Guild Museum of Art in Culver City- and the reorganization of Century Guild as a creative entity and artist representative, Century Guild Creative.
